Something is happening again in the development of the MMORPG Ashes of Creation. After a long period without news, Intrepid Studios has once again communicated with its supporters via email.
The “Alpha One” is being prepared: The studio announced that the first phase of the “Alpha One” of Ashes of Creation is now in preparation. The “Alpha One” is expected to be open to all supporters who have purchased a backer pack for at least $500 by the end of the year.
Intrepid Studios announced the preparation for the “Alpha One” after over 2000 testers played the “Alpha Zero” for two weeks.
What the “Alpha One” brings: The upcoming “Alpha One” is expected to no longer have a “Non-Disclosure Agreement” – content can be shown and streamed by players.
In the “Alpha One”, PvP content will primarily be tested. According to the community wiki of Ashes of Creation, the following features will be available:
- Arena mode
- Siege of castles
- Siege of towns
- Massive player battles
- Raid vs. raid
- Guild vs. guild
The release is challenging: In the announcement, Intrepid Studios also noted that it is difficult to release an MMO smoothly. However, testers and supporters from the community play a significant role in making this happen.
Intrepid is also relying on the experience of the team, which includes many MMO veterans who have been involved in multiple releases. Through this collaboration between community and developers, the studio can be confident that the launch “will make you proud.”
New employees support the team: To advance the development of the Alpha, Intrepid has also hired new people. Seven new employees are now additionally responsible for development and will be introduced to the community later in June.
