The game was first announced at E3 in 2015, but then went silent for a long time. This year at E3, it returned with a sleek 4K trailer showcasing the melancholic beauty of the RPG, which, with its dark appearance and brutal battles, is reminiscent of Dark Souls.
There is no sun in the world of Ashen. The only light sources are eruptions that cloak the land in ash. In the passive multiplayer mode, you can choose which other players you trust and allow them into your camp. There, they can regain strength by the campfire.
Whether you trust other players is up to you, but it can be helpful. Unique skills and crafting abilities of teammates can significantly increase your chances of survival.
