In the military MMO “Armored Warfare”, players head to the deserted island even in Early Access.
While World of Tanks is set in the past, Armored Warfare covers a time period that is closer to our present. The latest map is even set in a “near” future. In the year 2030, conflicts have intensified and shifted: An unnamed Pacific island serves as the backdrop for a conflict between military companies. This island has become a key strategic point due to the rising sea levels, being the only patch of contiguous land for miles.
Certainly an unusual setting to see heavy war machinery in action. Here is the trailer.
The map will be available for testing in the fifth Early Access phase of Armored Warfare. This is currently ongoing and will last until September 20.
