The PS4 and Xbox One received a hotfix for ARK Survival Evolved. Update 1.19 fixes issues with inventory and split-screen. Just yesterday, the consoles received a hotfix – 1.18.
Just yesterday, we reported on a hotfix for Ark Survival Evolved for the consoles – Patch 1.18. Studio Wildcard has now quickly pushed out another hotfix. The hotfix of the hotfix, so to speak. The new patch has the version number 1.19 on PS4 and is already released.
On the Xbox One, it is version v753.3 – This will go into the certification process tomorrow, on May 1st.
Ark PS4, Xbox: Update 1.19 adjusts inventory and split-screen
With the hotfix, the same issues are being addressed on PS4 and Xbox One:
- In the inventory, items will no longer be automatically split when they are in the first slot.
- In split-screen, the second player no longer sounds like they are underwater the whole time. Shadows no longer flicker randomly.
- R2 now correctly crafts one item at a time.
- The Tapejara can now once again hold onto walls, cliffs, and “Redwood” trees.

Ark Xbox One: Update v753.3 – ETA May 1 – Hotfix may come tomorrow
The hotfix for the Xbox One is still pending. The patch will go into certification tomorrow, May 1st. This means it may be released for Xbox One in the US tomorrow. In Germany, we can expect update v753.3 at the earliest Monday night.
PS4 & Xbox One received a hotfix just yesterday
Just yesterday, console players in Ark Survival Evolved received a hotfix – Patch 1.18. This fixed inventory and gameplay issues. Additionally, PS4 players experienced a bug that caused the game to crash and resulted in a blue screen – the underwater cave bug.

The hotfix was a result of a massive update for consoles that was intended to address both the Easter event and the flyer nerf.
