With the upcoming update, the developers of the online survival game ARK: Survival Evolved will give the dinos and other creatures a beauty upgrade.
However, the updates to the dinos not only improve their appearance, but there are also some gameplay changes planned for the creatures. These include buffs and new abilities that will make the creatures more interesting and also more dangerous. The updates will be released in several phases and will always focus on a number of creatures.

What to expect in Phase 1
The phase of the so-called Dino TLC begins on February 18 and focuses on these creatures:
- Direbear – The bear is primarily visually enhanced with better fur, but it also allows you to protect yourself from bee attacks while riding it
- Procoptodon – The kangaroo-like creature gets a pouch with a baby and can carry more
- Bigfoot – The monster deals more damage to your armor and can now also jump and throw smaller creatures
- Direwolf – Not only the appearance will be improved, the wolves can smell injured players
- Tyrannosaurus Rex – The dino receives optical enhancements along with a new roar that will make the targeted victims soil their pants

What you can look forward to in Phase 2
Phase two of the Dino TLC currently has no release date, but will include among other things these creatures:
- Argentavis – The bird can carry two additional passengers and more cargo
- Spinosaurus – The dino can stand on its hind legs and attack with its front claws
