The dino survival MMO Ark Survival Evolved is being delayed.
Ark Survival Evolved is playable on PC and Xbox One in an Early Access. Players on PlayStation 4 should jump in this summer. The official release of the game was planned for this period.
However, the schedule cannot be maintained. The release of Ark Survival Evolved is now expected to occur during the Christmas season of 2016, during the “Holidays.” This is reported by the US site Gamespot.
Ark is now much bigger than expected
The studio Wildcard cites the reason that the dimensions of Ark are now much larger than initially thought. Instead of 70, there are now over 100 dinos, modding support has been added, and much more.
There is a glimmer of hope for players on PlayStation 4: The “Free2Play spinoff” Survival of the Fittest, an eSports arena version of Ark, is also expected to be released on PlayStation 4 this summer. This is a kind of “death-match” version that is played for free. The combatants compete for high prize money.
