The Dino MMO ARK Survival Evolved has just announced its release date. That’s not too far away. On launch day, ARK will receive its endgame. Additionally, two expansions are planned.
In a Twitch stream for E3, the long-awaited release date of the Dino MMO ARK Survival Evolved was announced.
Release Date for ARK Survival Evolved on PC, PS4, Xbox One
On August 8, 2017, it will be time: the full launch of ARK is approaching.
The August 8 is the release date for ARK Survival Evolved after 2 years in early access. In summer 2015, ARK was still considered a surprise hit, capturing the PC during the PR tide of the blockbuster Jurassic World.
On August 8, 2017, there will also be a Collector’s Edition: the Dino dossiers will come in physical form. The Collector’s Editions will be limited, they say. They have “thousands.”
2 Expansions and the Endgame are Coming
Important for ARK: Development will continue after release. They are withholding content for the time after the release: the endgame gameplay content. On day one at release, an update will bring the endgame of ARK. So far, nothing has been shown. There have been only hints so far.
After the release, two additional expansions for ARK Survival Evolved are expected, similar in size to “Scorched Earth”, the currently only expansion.
Mod Ragnarok is the First Sponsored Mod
Additionally, the mod Ragnarok is being released as an official sponsored mod for ARK Survival Evolved. It’s free. Ragnarok is already available on Steam for PC. The expansion is expected to come for PS4 and Xbox One on July 4.
The mod results from the scholarship program for modders from Studio WildCard, which we have already introduced here. It aims to provide financial security for modders while they work on mods for ARK.
