Today, Patch v255 for PC is being released in ARK Survival Evolved. The update brings new dinosaurs to the survival MMO and new technologies.
The new Patch v255 is expected to be released today for PC, providing survivors with new content. It is still unknown when the patch will be available for PS4 and Xbox One.
Ark Survival Evolved: Patch v255 – German Time and Date
When will update v255 be released on PC? Patch v255 will be available today, February 25th, around midnight our time. So in the night from Saturday to Sunday.

The dinosaurs are expanded, along with new Tek structures and more cosmetics for head and hair.
Electrophorus, Microraptor, Ammonite, Thylacoleo – what the new dinos can do
New dinosaurs:
- Electrophorus – a type of eel used to tame large dinosaurs with electric shocks
- Microraptor – these raptors are meant to attack dino-riders, as they ignore the dinosaur and go straight for the rider
- Ammonite – an interesting resource, dinosaurs nearby defend it when survivors try to “harvest” it
- Thylacoleo – a carnivorous marsupial that can be used as a mount for rough terrain
New structures:
- Tek Shield Generator
- Tek Tileset & Tek Doors
Cosmetic items:
- 4 new hair options (available through Explorer Notes)
- 4 new face options (available through Explorer Notes)
Limit (400 dinosaurs) for tamed animals in tribes
Tribes can now own only up to 400 tamed dinosaurs on PC. This applies to official PvE servers. Tribes with more than 400 tamed dinosaurs currently will not lose their dinosaurs. They cannot take in new dinosaurs until they drop below the limit of 400 dinosaurs.
