ARK: Survival Evolved is now available in the PS4 store. Here you can learn more about prices, content, and future plans for PlayStation players.
PlayStation 4 players had to wait a long time, but it is finally here: ARK: Survival Evolved has been available since today at 12:00 PM in the PS4 store. Until now, WildCard hesitated to make ARK available for PlayStation, as Sony does not allow early access.
What You Can Expect from the ARK: Survival Evolved Release on PS4
PS4 ARK players can expect a constant stream of major updates from today. More prehistoric creatures, weapons, armor, gameplay mechanics, and a lot of lifestyle improvements will be added. Additionally, special content for PS4 will be included. Here’s a small overview of the release:
- When is the release of ARK on PS4?
ARK: Survival Evolved was released today, on December 6th, at 12:00 PM in the PlayStation Store. Here you can download it from the PlayStation Store.
- What will the price of ARK on PS4 be?
The price will be €50 in Europe for the complete package: “Survivors Pack”. €35 for the base version, €20 for the Scorched Earth expansion if purchased separately.
- What does the complete package: “Survivors Pack” include?
The “Survivor’s Pack” includes extra content, exclusive to PS4: a Bionic Giganotosaurus skin and a complete Manticore armor set for both male and female characters. The skins can be seen in the image above.
- What is the “Special Evolution Event”? – Attention: only until Monday!
To welcome new PS4 players, players on ALL platforms will receive the “Special Evolution Event” perk. The event started today and will end on December 12th at 6:00 PM. Through the event, you will receive: 2x harvesting rate, 2x taming rate, 2x EXP rate.
Ark in Couch Coop – How much space does it take on the hard drive?
ARK can be played locally on PlayStation 4 with 1-2 players and in network mode with 2-64 players. It will require 14.6 GB and has an HD video output of 720p/1080p.
What to Expect in the Future for ARK: Survival Evolved
ARK will be completely redesigned and will receive expansions for the underground cave system. There will be completely new creatures that will include new weapons, structures, and items: the TEK creature. Furthermore, there will be more customizations and special holiday events.
Now all players can dive into the survival battle with dinosaurs on their chosen device. A VR game is also planned: the ARK Park – here you should get close to the dinosaurs and go on a tour similar to Jurassic Park.
