ARK: Survival Ascended (ASA) was released on October 26 for PC, since then console players have been patiently waiting for the release on their preferred platform. For Xbox Series X|S, the release was supposed to be this week, but that won’t happen.
When is ASA supposed to launch on Xbox? The dinosaur adventure ARK: Survival Ascended was originally scheduled for November 14, 2023, for Xbox Series X|S, but a day before the release, Studio Wildcard postponed the survival game.
Subsequently, it was stated on X.com (formerly Twitter) that ARK: Survival Ascended would be released later in the week for Xbox, as the game was still undergoing the platform’s certification process.
ASA for Xbox postponed, release at the earliest on November 20
When will ARK: Survival Ascended be available on Xbox? In a new statement from November 16, 2023, ARK developer Studio Wildcard announced that the Xbox release would again be postponed due to the ongoing certification process.
The target date set for this week will therefore not be met. Instead, the studio is now planning for a release at the beginning of next week, at the earliest on November 20, 2023 (via X.com).
PS5 release of ASA still on track
What’s the status of the PS5 release of ASA? In the statement regarding the postponed Xbox release, Studio Wildcard also commented on the release of the survival game on PS5.
According to the developers, ASA is still on track for a release at the end of the month (November 2023). They want to provide fans with a more precise time frame for the launch at a later date.
Currently, there is hope that the console release of ASA does not come with similar performance issues as the PC version. For PC players, certain settings are recommended to achieve more FPS while maintaining decent graphics:
