In ARK Survival Evolved (PC, PS4, Xbox), console players have been waiting for a long time to rent servers for PS4 and Xbox One. Players on PlayStation 4 now have the option to do so. It will take a bit longer for Xbox One servers to be available for rent.
So far, consoles in ARK Survival Evolved could only use official servers from Studio Wildcard. Players on PS4 and Xbox One have long desired their own servers to rent. With rented servers, the game’s performance can be significantly improved, which ARK’s console players have been longing for.
Renting servers for PS4 is now possible – Xbox One will follow in a month
Studio Wildcard has partnered with Nitrado to offer console servers for ARK. Nitrado is a provider of game servers and application hosting that manages its system in its own cloud.
The release of the PS4 servers is planned for Wednesday, August 16, according to US Eastern Time. As the time difference is 6 hours, the service will likely arrive later that night from Wednesday to Thursday. Players from Germany will be able to use the PS4 servers on Thursday, August 17.
Update: From now on, rented servers are available to players on PS4. Here you can find the prices and services for ARK’s PS4 servers.
The certification process for Xbox One will likely take a bit longer. Studio Wildcard estimates that Xbox players will be able to use rented servers next month (September).
