At ARK: Survival Evolved, the 1st anniversary is now being celebrated. And what is better than dinosaur babies? Exactly, dragons.
Birthday Dragons and Permanent Diseases
It has now been more than a year since ARK: Survival Evolved made a huge splash on Steam and entered Early Access. To celebrate this properly, Studio Wildcard has released a new patch, now number 242.
For a week, there are celebrations in the game, featuring some unique elements. This includes festive clothing (suits and hats), which however causes your character to wander around the island quite naked. But with the start of summer, that seems to be no problem, right?
A good birthday surely does not go without a cake, which is consequently available to eat in ARK. However, one must first find some candles, which can be found in the supply crates. For stuffing oneself with the cake, a hefty XP buff awaits, making leveling significantly easier – at least for a while.
Apart from that, the patch has also brought new content, which will remain in the game beyond the birthday. The raising of dino babies is now more interactive, allowing players to cuddle, take walks, and feed them by hand, which increases their affection when they eventually become adults. There are also diseases that persist even beyond a character’s death. Once infected, you must necessarily search for a cure or live with this condition forever.
