I like to think about how I can combine my favorite things. So it was high time for me to write about beer in ARK. It is possible to build a beer barrel and produce liquid happiness in it.

Making beer in ARK – What is its use?

Simply put, beer has a benefit in the harsh struggle for survival: getting drunk.

To elaborate, beer lowers your stamina and your screen shines in a golden glow. If your stamina is completely exhausted, you get a hangover and can only walk very slowly. Additionally, you will not regain your stamina for 2-3 minutes.

However, the beer keeps you cozy warm and you take less damage while you are drunk. It could still be useful to get out of a cold cave as a last resort. Just like you would eat a narcotic berry when you are about to starve.

But the greatest benefit will probably be found in activities such as celebrating a tribe member’s birthday or the taming day of your favorite dino.

Brewing beer in ARK – This is how it’s done

To make beer in ARK, you need a beer barrel with a water connection and enough berries and straw.

• Craft a beer barrel (Beer Barrel). The beer barrel must be connected to a water pipe for brewing. It can also be filled with a water container in the inventory slot.
• To make beer add: 40x berries (any), 40x straw, and water
• Once you see small bubbles rising from the barrel, the brewing is in full swing. The brewing process takes 6 hours.
• To tap the beer, you need a Water Jar. Other containers like Water Skin do not work.

Making a beer barrel in ARK

To make a beer barrel, you need:

• 500x wood
• 100x cement paste
• 80x metal ingots
• Level: 35
• Points to learn: 24
• Smithy for crafting
