The developers of Anthem answered fans’ questions and provided some responses. One question was whether more Javelins will be available in the future.
There will be new Javelins: In a major Q&A session on Twitter from BioWare, it was confirmed that there will be more Javelins in the future. However, no details were provided about what these new suits will be. It was mentioned that a Javelin focused on healing is unlikely, as they want to maintain flexibility.
In the past, fans have repeatedly expressed their desire for more Javelins in the future. We could observe this in the comments on MeinMMO.
How many Javelins does Anthem have now? Upon the release of Anthem, there will be a total of four Javelin suits. These are the classes of Anthem, each with different abilities. Here you can find all the skills and ultimates of the Javelin.
Why Anthem is perfect for new Javelins
Anthem is meant to continuously evolve: BioWare wants to expand its action RPG in the future with significant, free updates. The map of Anthem can change through large world events called Cataclysm. New characters will be introduced, and they can also die.
With a continuously growing world, it would only be fitting to have new classes to play.
Comparison to Warframe: The genre-related MMO shooter Warframe also started with three suits. Now there are nearly 40. The crafting and unlocking of new Warframes is still a major motivator for players to log in and obtain the new classes.
New Javelins as long-term motivators: New classes always bring fresh gameplay and new accents into the game. What’s particularly cool about this is that players can actively try out a new role. Players test new group dynamics or there are new possibilities to create builds.
