All fans of the MMORPG Archlord 2 must now be very brave, as Webzen is shutting down the game.
Archlord 2 was from the very beginning a game that was not under a good star. The payment system was perceived as Pay2Win and players even boycotted the beta because of this. Apparently, the MMO could never really recover from this negative start, as Webzen has now announced the end. On November 24, the company will close the servers. This means that the online game had a lifespan of just about a year.
The End for Archlord 2!
According to Webzen, around 300,000 players logged into the MMORPG during this time, who together amassed around 5 million hours of gameplay. Until November 24, fans can really give it their all, as everyone now receives a 100 percent experience points bonus. The drop rates for gold, items, and fame points will also be increased.
Guilds do not need to worry about having nothing to do from now on, as the dates for the guild battles and the opening times of the El-Dorado map will remain until November 24. Those who purchased WCoin for Archlord 2 after April 1, 2015, can contact support and receive a refund under certain conditions. You can find out what those conditions are through support. The refunded WCoin can then be used in other Webzen games.
Webzen wants to encourage all Archlord 2 fans to take a look at the upcoming MMOs from the company. Maybe there are some that offer a good replacement for Archlord 2. Is that a real consolation for the players? After the end of Archlord and Archlord 2, it seems unlikely that Webzen will develop a third part.
