Shortly before Gamescom, the German publisher Gamigo presented a new version of the MMORPG ArcheAge. This was meant to forego Pay2Win and was scheduled for release on September 30. However, the release has now been delayed.
When is ArcheAge Unchained now planned for? According to the press release, the release of the Buy2Play version of ArcheAge is planned for October 15. This means the game will be launched about two weeks later than originally planned.
Why is Unchained delayed? Gamigo justifies the delay by stating that the MMORPG is to be improved before release. Apparently, the overwhelming feedback from players was a decisive factor for the delay.
The developers do not want to disappoint the players, so they are taking another close look at the new version and adjusted content such as the Battle Pass.
What happens with Patch 6.0? The release of Shadows Revealed, the major 6.0 update for ArcheAge, is also delayed.
The patch is intended to give the game a new class specialization and a major graphics update. The developers also want to take a closer look at this content and make improvements if necessary.
Same MMORPG, just without Pay2Win
What is ArcheAge Unchained? The new Unchained version of the MMORPG ArcheAge is essentially the same game.
Unchained will be launched directly with the new Patch 6.0 and will also include all contents of the current Free2Play version. The big difference is that you have to spend at least 26 euros for the game account.
This means that the previous optional subscription with advantages in housing or work points will no longer be available, and Pay2Win in the shop will also be abandoned. The aim is especially to reach former fans who set the game aside due to the subscription.
