In the sandbox MMO ArcheAge the arrival of the Leviathan is announced with the next patch “Terror of the Depths”.
The major content patch 1.7 from Korea will be released in Europe and North America in two parts. 1.7a has been live for a while, 1.7B is expected to arrive around the end of June.
One of the first highlights of the patch has been presented by ArcheAge: It is the Leviathan, a truly big fish.
Here is the announcement video from Korea back then:
The Leviathan is a feared world boss that remained undefeated in Korea for quite a while. It was only in April this year that it was defeated for the first time. At least that’s what obscure Korean writings suggest. The guild or probably more likely the alliance that brings it down in the West will receive the blueprint for an “Enoa-Galione” and Trion Worlds only speaks of it in the highest terms in their announcement letter.
With two decks, three masts, and a luxurious captain’s cabin, the Enoa-Galione is the largest warship to have ever sailed the seas. Additionally, its unique rowing system (which can be operated by up to four players taking turns) and the ability to equip the legendary figurehead of the sea dragon make it a swift and deadly hunter. However, what truly gives it an advantage are its unique defensive capabilities.
The captain can turn this ship into a real floating fortress in no time: The cannon deck rises to a second level — out of reach of most boarding parties — and the rear ramp is sealed and bristles with sharp spikes to fend off attackers. Once these defensive actions are taken, the Enoa-Galione becomes nearly impregnable, making it the crowning jewel of any fleet.

If the Leviathan is really defeated, the carcass of the beast can also be towed to the Diamond Coast. If it arrives there “safe and sound,” nearby players will receive a massive bonus. Cunningly, the pirates will seek to prevent this: The lawless players will receive a quest promising fame and wealth if they destroy the carcass.
