ArcheAge had a kind of reboot in December with Update 3.0 Revelation. On a new server and with two fresh races, you can finally experience Trion’s sandbox MMO the way it was intended from the start. Our YouTube partner Refaser thoroughly tested the “new” ArcheAge and summarized his experiences in a video.
When ArcheAge was released two years ago, things went wrong. Pay2Win accusations, unfair starting conditions due to server issues, and the infamous Pink Dolphin shitstorm kept Trion’s sandbox MMO in turmoil. Therefore, the major theme of Update 3.0 Revelation was also “new beginning.”
New Servers, New Races
Trion also opened the new server “Prophecy” in Europe at the launch of Revelation in December, where you can only play with a completely new account. Transfers from the old servers are not possible. The new worlds are fresh and unspoiled.
There are numerous housing spots and no one should have an unfair starting advantage. Our YouTube partner Refaser embraced the restart as an old ArcheAge fan and created a new hero on the Prophecy server.
Refaser started as a Warborn, one of the two new races (the other race is the Dwarves). They start in their own area and only enter the regular ArcheAge world at level 30. Until then, they have learned a new skill through an exciting story that transforms them into a demon (Warborn) or a mech (Dwarves).
In the new form, you have completely different skills, and your hero plays differently. Refaser’s video is embedded here. You can see for yourself how the new ArcheAge plays. Enjoy!
