The Twitch streamer stankRat has shown a clip from one of his streams on social media, in which he backstabbed a large group of friendly players in ARC Raiders.
What kind of streamer is this? stankRat is an English-speaking Twitch streamer who showcases various games on his channel. However, he is primarily known for the extraction shooter Escape from Tarkov (EFT), which he has streamed for over 376 hours in the past three months.
In recent days, stankRat has been playing mainly the new genre competitor to EFT, ARC Raiders. He regularly reaches over 700 viewers simultaneously and entertains his audience with treacherous and devious actions against other players.
Streamer backstabs a group of peaceful Raiders
What did the streamer do? In the clip, the streamer encounters a larger group of players in a solo run. In solo runs, players in ARC Raiders only meet other solo players. This group spontaneously gathered via the in-game voice chat.
Together, the group wanted to play a new event on the “Space Dock” map, for which they need to solve a puzzle. The streamer recognized his chance and ran to the extraction point, which closes last. He called the elevator and placed a bunch of explosive surprises before returning to the group as if nothing had happened.
For minutes, the players attempted to solve the puzzle, before they gave up 6 minutes before the last remaining extraction point closed and decided to leave the lobby. They returned to the elevator together and even took a group photo before its arrival. But then came the streamer’s surprise.
The players entered the elevator and the streamer detonated the placed explosives. He then shot at everyone who survived the explosions, killing the entire group – accompanied by a diabolical laugh.

How is it being received? In various social networks, the streamer’s action receives mixed reactions. Many find it funny, while others are surprised that nobody noticed the many blinking lights in the elevator.
However, some criticize the behavior, claiming that the streamer possibly ruined the fun of the round for those players without interest in loot and damaged the trust that players have in each other.
Here’s how this could be resolved: Some users have suggestions on how such situations could be less “fun-ruining”. One user writes that traps, explosives, and similar items should not be in the elevator if it was temporarily traveling to Speranza. After all, the game even informs you that there is a security check.
Another user proposes on X a bounty system, allowing players to secure a reward when they eliminate treacherous players who have killed many Raiders in a short amount of time or in a single life.
