Today, on February 4th, Apex: Legends, the battle royale shooter from Electronic Arts, was introduced at 5 PM. The shooter will be free-to-play and is set in the Titanfall universe.
What is Apex Legends? Apex Legends is a free-to-play shooter developed by Respawn Entertainment. The studio was previously responsible for the Titanfall 1 and 2 shooters. The publisher is Electronic Arts.
This is what the stream shows: The image features a forest with waving grass in the foreground. In between, there are short clips of action scenes.

So far, there are only rumors about the details of the shooter, stemming from influencers who apparently have already been able to play Apex:
These rumors are currently circulating about Apex:
- Apparently, there are character skills in Apex that are reminiscent of Overwatch
- Up to 60 players are on one map
- A maximum of 3 players per group
- It is said to run on a heavily modified version of Valve’s Source Engine
- The gameplay is a mix of Blackout from Call of Duty 4 and Rainbow Six Siege – in a battle royale format
- The game will be funded through a cash shop and microtransactions
- Apex is expected to be released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One
When is Apex expected to be released? It seems that Apex can already be played for free on PC, PS4, and Xbox One starting tomorrow. Officially this is not confirmed yet.
