A streamer has achieved victory in Apex Legends. However, for the streamer ToeYouUp, this was a different challenge than for most gamers. He only has one arm and won with the help of his foot.
The recently surprise-released Apex Legends from Respawn is already a hit on Twitch. Many players stream the new battle royale shooter for their viewers and partially showcase spectacular scenes. Among them is also the streamer ToeYouUp.
The American ex-Marine and streamer lost an arm in a motorcycle accident. But that doesn’t stop him from playing – and even winning. In a close battle, he was the last of his team to defeat the last other surviving player and win.
Apex Legends: Streamer wins with only one hand
How did he manage that? In his streams, you can see how ToeYouUp manages to pursue his passion for gaming despite his missing arm. He clamps his PS4 controller between his remaining hand and his foot.
He then operates the analog sticks with his hand, using his thumb and index finger when both need to be operated simultaneously. The shoulder buttons are partially operated with his toes, and the ball of his foot serves as a support for the second grip.
Unknown streamer becomes a star: Many players celebrate Apex Legends and so the clip of ToeYouUp’s victory quickly went viral. Although ToeYouUp has had a maximum of 40 simultaneous viewers since his launch according to SullyGnome, the clip has already been viewed over 140,000 times.
The video clip of his victory also gained a lot of attention on reddit. In a thread with more than 5,000 upvotes, many commented on his victory. Most congratulate ToeYouUp on his win or tease able-bodied players, saying it’s their excuse for not winning. The user MickeyGrandia writes:

Apex Legends is currently very popular. The clip could be the moment that leads ToeYouUp to greater recognition.
