A new item came to Apex Legends through a patch: Jump Pads. These strange trampolines have been on the map since then, and many are wondering what they’re good for. We will tell you what you can do with them.
What are the Jump Pads? The new Jump Pads are medium-sized constructs on the ground. They appeared after an update in Apex Legends and can be used since then.
When you jump onto a Jump Pad or walk over it, you will be launched into the air.
The Jump Pads are already known as the ultimate ability of the leaked legend Octane. Many players suspect that they are a hint at his appearance and serve to prepare for the new legend and the upcoming Battle Pass.
The Battle Pass has already been announced for March 19.
Where can I find the Jump Pads? At the moment, the Jump Pads are on the map directly in front of the main entrance of “Market.” They are thus located relatively centrally on the map.
Market is a popular landing option for many players, as there is often a lot of good loot to be found here. Therefore, it is advisable not to land there right at the start if you want to try out the Jump Pads.

This is what you can do with the Jump Pads: The Jump Pads currently don’t have a greater use due to their position. They probably serve to try out what you can do with them.
The community has already come across several uses:
- The decoys of Mirage can use the Jump Pads
- Grenades bounce off the surface and are launched into the air (Arc Stars do not)
- The Jump Pads can be combined with the portal, the ultimate ability of Wraith
- You can reach zip lines stretched over the Jump Pads, such as those of Pathfinder
