The new legend for the upcoming Season 5 of Apex Legends has been officially revealed and is already in the game. However, you can’t play it just yet.
What kind of legend is this? Respawn and EA have today introduced the new legend Loba for the upcoming Season 5 with a new “Stories from the Outlands”. The video is titled “Legacy of a Thief”.
The story of Loba shows how she became a thief after her father’s death and has become better at her “profession”. It also reveals the reason Loba comes to Apex Legends: Revenant. We have embedded the video here for you:
Revenant is the one who murdered Loba’s father. In search of revenge, Loba is now joining the legends and will soon be playable in Apex Legends.
New Legend Loba – Abilities and Release
What can Loba do? There is no official information about Loba’s abilities yet. However, several leaks from the past claim to know her skill kit (via Dexerto):
- “Burglar’s Best Friend” – Throws a slide and teleports to the location
- “Supply for Demand” – Hold to select a loot type. Displays the selected loot in an area, even through walls
- “Eye for Quality” – Loba can see loot through nearby walls
- “Black Market Boutique” – Places a device that steals all loot in the vicinity
Loba herself has already been mentioned in the relevant leaks and has now been confirmed. So it’s quite possible that these abilities are accurate as well.
When does Loba come? Season 5 starts with the end of the current Season 4 on May 12, 2020. From then on, Loba will presumably also be playable as a new legend. However, she can already be found in the game.
Those in the main menu can see Loba lurking behind the player banners. She frequently uses a short teleport, which could indicate her first ability. Here’s a short clip of her:
Apex Legends continues to enjoy great popularity. The battle royale was even voted “best international multiplayer game” by the German Computer Game Award. With the upcoming Season 5, there will certainly be further improvements to the game that will strengthen this status.
