The new battle royale game Apex Legends brings unique heroes to the BR genre. Learn everything about the individual characters and their special abilities in the game here.
What is Apex Legends? Apex Legends takes place in the Titanfall universe and is a battle royale game. 60 players battle it out in teams of 3 until only one squad remains. As a unique selling point, the game offers eight different characters, known as “Legends”.
Like in Overwatch, each of these characters has unique skills and plays differently. Here you can find out what each hero can do and what they are suited for.
Which legend should I play? Additionally, we will provide you with a recommendation for each character regarding which legend suits which player type. So much for now: There is something for everyone!
Gibraltar – The Shield Fortress
Who is he? Gibraltar is a powerful guy who appears to be of New Zealand warrior descent. At least one of his emotes is a haka war dance. He seems to be a warm-hearted, lovable guy who enjoys laughing heartily.
What can he do? Gibraltar is a tank who protects his team and keeps them safe from harm. He uses the following skills:
- Dome of Protection: Gibraltar creates a shield dome that protects your whole team but is immobile.

Who should play him? If you want to play a mobile bulwark and protect your team, then Gibraltar is your hero.
Caustic – The Toxic Trapper
