Apex Legends receives its first content update. The next patch will introduce a new weapon, the Havoc.
What is the Havoc? The Havoc will likely be an energy-based assault rifle and the third weapon to utilize energy ammunition. The other two implemented energy weapons are the Devotion and the Triple Take, with which a gaming grandpa has already taken out an entire squad.

According to the website altchar.com the sound files found in the game files suggest that the Havoc can utilize three different hop-ups simultaneously:
- Precision Choke: Concentrates the pellets from the barrel into a point
- Selectfire Receiver: Allows for different firing modes
- Turbocharger: Increases the charge rate, reducing the time to maximum fire rate
The Havoc is essentially an automatic rifle. According to the leak, with the three hop-ups, it can combine five shots into a powerful attack, allowing for very high damage. According to the information, the Havoc is “a battle rifle with railgun capabilities.”

When is the Havoc coming? According to an official tweet from Apex Legends, the Havoc is set to be implemented with a patch today, Wednesday, February 20. A short preview video has been posted on the official channel, which we will embed for you here.
An exact time has not yet been specified.
What else is coming? The Havoc had been leaked in advance and is one of two weapons whose appearance has been speculated. The other weapon is the “L-Star” from Titanfall, which the legend Bloodhound is already holding in an image.
The L-Star is a light machine gun, about which not much is known regarding its capabilities. As the Havoc has already come to pass, it is quite possible that the L-Star will also find its way into Apex Legends.
