The developers of Path of Exile 2 have released a brief update regarding the upcoming early access phase. The well-known streamer HandofBlood reacts with the appropriate outfit and pose.
What has been announced? A post from the developers of Path of Exile 2 went live last night on X. It states:
“In about a month, we will host a livestream where we will present all the content of the early access for Path of Exile 2 and explain how you can gain access.”
Since the rumor mill was already churning, there was further clarification: Similar to “Fall of Oriath,” you will again be able to secure access to the early access by purchasing a new supporter pack. This will also include all fans of PoE who reached the lifetime support threshold in the first Path of Exile.

What about HandofBlood? The well-known streamer and YouTuber Maximilian Paul Karl-Heinz Knabe, known as Hänno, reacted with a humorous tweet on X to the developers’ announcement.
As you can see, he has really dressed up for the wait for the early access launch of Path of Exile 2. This resembles the well-known meme of the waiting man (with scenes featuring Pablo Escobar from the series Narcos, via knowyourmeme.com):
In response to Stefan’s question about whether he even has time to play such an RP monster, Hänno replies (via X): “POE is my most played game on Steam – haha.”

What do I need to know about Path of Exile 2? The hack and slash adventure from Grinding Gear Games is the sequel to Path of Exile from 2013 and was first announced in November 2015. It was originally stated that a beta for everyone would take place in June 2024, but this plan has been scrapped.
The monetization of the free-to-play game is intended to be as fair as in the first part, with an in-game shop for cosmetic offers and conveniences like more inventory space. The developers promise a story campaign for part 2 that will keep you engaged for about 40 to 50 hours.
You can expect a greatly revised combat experience, a lot of freedom in building your character builds, and an exciting choice of twelve character classes. Additionally, there will be in-depth equipment and skills systems, as well as a fresh endgame experience: Path of Exile 2 throws you into boss battles that resemble less Diablo 4 and more Dark Souls.
