In Anthem, you must deactivate a barrier in the “Triple Threat” mission to obtain the manifold. To do this, you need to solve a small color puzzle. We will reveal to you how it works.
What is the mission about? In the “Triple Threat” mission, you must retrieve a device, the manifold, from the inner chamber for the quest giver Matthias. This happens after you have eliminated the Dominions and retrieved Signa. This gives you access to the chamber and leads you “to the Dominion’s device.” Once there, however, the manifold is sealed by energy gates that you need to open.
These gates have colored symbols. Each gate is assigned a specific color. When all gates show the correct color, the blue shimmering barrier you can see in the title image dissolves. Only then can you take the manifold.
So it is a chain combination puzzle.
Here’s how to solve the color puzzle to open the barrier
Pay attention to the symbols near a gate:
- You find a symbol near each gate.
- The symbols show the correct color for each gate.
- Interact with the gate until it shows the color of the symbol that is near it.
- If all gates have the same color as the symbol nearby, the barrier will open.
Plan B: You’re lucky and your group members solve this puzzle for you.
After completing the mission, you then bring the manifold to Matthias in Fort Tarsis. There you will also learn what this relic is capable of.
Things to keep in mind: The symbols are always located near the gate. But they are not always in the same spot. For instance, one symbol is relatively high above the gate, while another is a bit below a small bridge. Another icon is somewhat hidden around the corner.
In the video by Fuzzy Bearbarian you can see where all the symbols are located.
Also important to know: With combos, players can connect the attacks and skills of the Javelins. This allows you to deal additional damage and trigger an effect that depends on the Javelins. Here is an overview of all Javelins in Anthem.
