There will be two demos for Anthem before the game’s release. The developers have revealed new details about the test versions. You will have it a bit easier in the demo.
What will be easier in the demo? When you test Anthem in the demo, you will progress faster. According to Michael Gamble, the Lead Producer of Anthem, the XP curve in the demo is adjusted. You will level up faster and start at level 10. You will not carry over progress from the demo to the game.
The developers aim to ensure that players can earn everything faster to extensively test the demo.
Quick cash: You will also find it easier to earn money that you gain through playing. You can spend the coins on cosmetics to customize your Javelin visually. Players will receive 100 coins at the start of the demo to spend on cosmetics.
Coins are not a premium currency. The money for cosmetic items can be earned. Anthem will also do away with loot boxes.
Demo can be played solo and in multiplayer
Here’s what to do in the demo: There is Freeplay, missions, and Strongholds, the raids of Anthem.
You will also see parts of Fort Tarsis. This is the single-player hub where you experience the story of Anthem. Here you can also customize your character and the Javelins.
Most can be played solo: According to Michael Gamble, most of the demo can be played solo. You can explore the world of Anthem as you wish.
It might be that the Strongholds are not suitable for solo play. The developers have already mentioned that the raids in Anthem are meant to be particularly challenging and designed for groups. There will be one Stronghold in the demo.
Matchmaking is available: You can use the matchmaking system if you are looking for specific groups. It will also be possible to turn off matchmaking.
How do you feel about the demo being a bit easier?
