The Mangaka just wants to draw hot men
Why are there so many good-looking men in it? In an interview with Animate Times, the author revealed that he simply loves drawing handsome men. He did this back in high school.
After school, he worked as a hairdresser because he hoped to encounter many attractive men there. However, he realized that he didn’t like standing in front of people, which is why he eventually quit the job.
Instead, he started drawing mangas with many men. In the interview, he mentioned his love for Boys Love, or stories with intimate moments between men, as inspiration. He is a big fan of Asumiko Nakamura. She is especially known for her Boys Love manga Dokyusei.
Are there really that many men? When the anime adaptation was announced, about 70-80% of the introduced characters were male. It is clearly noticeable that the author focuses on male characters.
As of now, there is still no couple formed by two men. Whether the Boys Love component will eventually appear in the manga remains to be seen.
