Every season brings Destiny 2 a new weapon meta to light. With Episode: Revenant, Bungie has packed an old weapon set into the Enclave, allowing you to build it. One of these weapons is currently among the best shotguns in PvP.
Which weapon is meant? Prophet of Doom or Prophet of Destruction is an Arc shotgun of legendary rarity. The weapon has a precision casing and fires shot.

A strong option for all PvP players
How do I get the weapon? You can obtain the weapon from the second encounter of the raid “Garden of Salvation”. Many do not like the raid and if someone has tried it, it was only to participate in the Exo-quest of Divinity.
Despite that, the encounter is easy to complete and can be finished with a coordinated team in just a few minutes. Make sure that the raid is active in the weekly rotation. Then you can farm the encounter with a checkpoint comfortably.
With a bit of luck, you might even snag a blueprint of the weapon. Bungie has added the shotgun to the Catalog of the Enclave and if you dismantle 5 copies with Depth Resonance or have extracted their essence, you can build it.
Which rolls should I focus on? The current god roll in PvP looks like this:
- Barrel Shroud
- Improved Projectiles
- Danger Recognized, Danger Eliminated or Whoosh!
- Closing Time or First Shot
- Masterwork: Range, Handling or Reload Speed
Why is the weapon so good? The pump has strong perk combinations that allow you to eliminate enemies even at a distance. Impact and handling are also in a good position and with the perk “Danger Recognized, Danger Eliminated” it allows you to quickly draw and fire the weapon in critical situations.
