The beta for Monster Hunter World will take place from December 9 to 12 for owners of a PlayStation 4. To participate, you need to have a PlayStation Plus account. The client will be available for download starting December 8. Then, you will experience three quests in solo and multiplayer mode and also visit the training area where you can test 14 weapon types.

Earn Bonus Items for the Full Version
During the beta, it is possible to earn bonus items. You will then carry these over to the full version, which will be released on January 26, 2018. Items can only be transferred if you use the same player account with the same Sony Entertainment Network account for both the beta and the full version.
- If you successfully complete the quests, you can expect face paint personalization options for your hunter.
- You will also receive an item pack with useful items including mega potions, life powder, and shock traps.
- The bonus items will be accessible in the full version of the online role-playing game at the player’s personal quarters with the handler.
The developers of Monster Hunter World also explain that the beta is only a multi-day test run of the game, in which the online capabilities and servers are tested. Therefore, content, menus, and options are still provisional. The beta does not show the full game, there is no support, and they reserve the right to terminate the test phase at any time without prior notice.
