1. Casino Royale
The first Bond film with Daniel Craig is also the best. On the one hand, because it tells an exciting story. Bond must defeat the vile Le Chiffre in a poker game. What sounds a bit boring at first is incredibly thrillingly staged. Furthermore, the story takes Bond once again to various corners of the earth – up to the dramatic finale in Venice.
Craig has introduced a new type of the familiar agent in Casino Royale. He appears tougher and more hardened than his predecessors but is no less of a gentleman. When this Bond enters an action scene, it goes off with a bang. When he stands at the bar sipping martinis and holding conversations, he gives the impression of having everything under control.
Overall, Casino Royale is the perfect Bond adventure. In addition to good character delineation, great action, and a well-measured pinch of humor, it also has a successful final scene, in which Craig introduces himself for the first time with his famous “Bond, James Bond,” and creates anticipation for the sequel.
