2. Skyfall
Even the title song by singer Adele indicates at the beginning of the film that something great awaits us here. In Skyfall, the MI6, the secret service for which Bond works, falls apart. He has to go underground and investigate from the shadows who is behind the attacks on members of the service.
One of the highlights of the film is clearly the villain: Javier Bardem plays the role of the blond Raoul Silva. At first glance, he seems almost ridiculous, but his actions speak volumes: This guy is not to be trifled with.
Dramatic action, MI6 chief M as an unusual Bond girl, and a clearly aging Bond complete the experience. Skyfall would probably have made it to number 1 if it weren’t for the somewhat unspectacular finale. Naysayers call it “Home Alone” for adults – those who have seen the film know why.
