What is it about? Chihiro moves with her parents. On the way to their new home, they get lost and end up at a tunnel that leads them to a mysterious world. At a buffet, Chihiro’s parents are transformed into pigs, and the young girl must now work in a bathhouse to turn her parents back.
The bathhouse is run by a cruel witch named Yubaba. It is supposed to serve as a retreat for gods and spirits of all kinds. Chihiro befriends her henchman Haku, who can transform into a dragon.
Who is the film suitable for? Spirited Away is like a trip to a fairy tale world. There are many mythical creatures and humorous scenes. At the same time, serious topics like environmental protection are addressed. The film combines a bit of everything and should therefore appeal to almost every anime fan among you.
