2. Eldar
Eldar – actually Aeldari – are something like the Space Elves in Warhammer 40,000 and in Dawn of War one of the strongest factions. Just like their dark counterpart, they rely on speed and mobility but have more options to defend themselves.
Through unit abilities, you can compensate for some of the weaknesses of the Eldar (and Dark Eldar) and use buildings to cloak your entire base. This gives you an advantage in developing before you choose to engage in battle.
In addition to the fast units, you have snipers that can even take on the T’au, and a plethora of specialists that serve as specific counters to almost every opponent.
Your biggest problem is that the Eldar are correspondingly difficult to play. You need excellent micro-management and knowledge of all abilities and units to know how to succeed – otherwise, you will most likely be overrun. One of the strongest factions, but not suitable for beginners.
