Stormblade

What can the Stormblade do? The Stormblade is one of the two melee characters in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance and the assassin of the MMORPG. Armed with a sword or scythe, she either fights in a classic burst damage specialization in the “Iaido-Style” against enemies or in the AoE damage specialization “Moonblade Style”.
The two specializations differ significantly in how they play. In the “Iaido-Style”, you play a classic assassin armed with a longsword focusing on burst damage and charged attacks. Especially a high critical hit chance benefits this playstyle.
In the “Moonblade Style” specialization, one swaps their longsword for a death scythe and delivers a lot of AoE damage with powerful swings. This specialization also focuses on many quick attacks and, in addition to critical hits, relies on the luck stat, which ensures that an attack is counted multiple times.
Where do the class’s strengths and weaknesses lie? As an assassin, the Stormblade faces the typical issues of a squishy melee class that must pay close attention to dodging. Especially bosses with a lot of cleave and mechanics can be a nuisance for the class.
What she lacks, however, are movement abilities. Compared to the Wind Knight, this class primarily depends on the boss staying stable in one place so that she can deal damage there.
The class does this wonderfully and, depending on the specialization, enjoys either high burst damage and strong attacks or continuous damage and plenty of AoE. Depending on playstyle, it is perfectly suited for players who want to see high damage numbers in melee and do not mind boss mechanics.
