Frost Mage

What can this class do? The Frost Mage is the magic class in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. With ice and water abilities, she excels especially in AoE damage, allowing her to attack dozens of enemies at once.
Intriguingly, there is also great diversity in terms of crowd control. One ability of the Frost Mage can pull enemies together. Another ability allows ice meteors to rain down from the sky, which can stun regular mobs. This allows the mage to easily take control of a battlefield.
The two specializations mainly differ in two respects. While in the “Ray-Style”, you can hardly move, you can deal high single-target damage. In the “Frostlance-Style”, however, you are more mobile but have to manage your rotation timing carefully.
Where do the strengths and weaknesses lie? As a ranged DPS, the Frost Mage is a strong choice in any raid group. With ice damage and crowd control, the class also offers a lot of useful utility. Depending on the spec, players can deal a lot of damage in the raid, especially when a boss calls its allies, where the Frost Mage shines.
Due to cooldowns and the management of its class resources, down phases during boss fights, such as when the boss is performing an animation or moving, pose a problem for the Frost Mage. If the rotation slips from the player, damage can be reduced for up to a minute as resources run dry.
This mechanic also makes the class challenging in dungeons and whenever the boss moves a lot. However, at the beginning of a fight, the class can deal a very strong burst with the right opener.
