First Place: Layla, Fairy of Water
The first place is rightfully awarded to Layla, the fairy of water. Layla joined the Winx Club in the second season of the series, but that does not make her any lesser member or less valuable friend. She is a very open-minded, helpful, and intuitive person who can quickly gain the trust of others, and rightly so. However, one should not mess with her, especially in battle.
Layla can not only control water but all liquids, which is a truly versatile element. She can not only move or shape liquids as she wishes but also change their states of matter, which provides her with even more options for defensive and offensive attacks. She can bombard and immobilize enemies and, in the right environment, even create large tidal waves.
Additionally, she can use a liquid called Morphix
. This is a pink, viscous substance that looks a bit like a gooey yet dynamic chewing gum. It can be solid or liquid and can be shaped, hardened, or liquefied by Layla according to her preferences. From the Morphix, Layla has been able to derive all sorts of benefits, such as projectiles for attack, a solid shield, thick glue, a stable surfboard, or a life-saving rope – making it an extremely useful and versatile ability.
Layla has thus rightfully earned first place on this list.
