5. Season 2

When I try to recall all the seasons of Stranger Things, I find it hardest with Season 2. After the fantastic first season, everything seemed a bit toned down. Many episodes are simply forgettable, and Will as such a central character didn’t always work for me.
Cool new characters like Max or Murray were introduced and the emotional moments around Bob worked as well. Unfortunately, the Mindflayer here falls short of its potential as a villain. Its design is really strong, but this ongoing threat from the being just doesn’t come across.
The season still has many good moments, but compared to the rest, it falls a bit short. Nevertheless, the season finale here is a spectacle.
