5. Spider-Man: Far From Home
Far From Home has a simple concept: What happens when Spider-Man is on a class trip? This is incredibly fun and also a nice change from the settings. The portrayal of Mysterio, played by Jack Gyllenhaal, works really well.
The personal level with Mary Jane and Spider-Man’s identity is better than in No Way Home, and that without a tragic death. Far From Home is one of the best MCU films.
4. Spider-Man
Spider-Man was not the first superhero movie, but it laid the foundation for the genre as we know it today. Tobey Maguire plays a Spider-Man in a bad situation. No money, an ugly apartment, and his relationship is not going well either.
The first Spider-Man film shows the core of a hero. No matter how bad it gets, you believe in the good. Maguire also acts really well. He has a certain naivety that makes him lovable. But one must not forget the villain. Willem Dafoe is a completely insane Goblin who wipes the floor with many modern villains.
3. Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse
Into the Spiderverse does not have Peter Parker as the protagonist, but Miles Morales. The film manages to create a better teacher-student dynamic than Homecoming, and Miles has to deal with different problems than Peter. Miles is not just a Peter clone, he is a standalone character.
Additionally, the film looks fantastic and has advanced the animation genre. The fights are action-packed, there is humor, but also empathetic moments about themes like responsibility and the expectations of others. Moreover, the film has really cool supporting characters.
