This month, the alien Thargoids will officially be introduced into the space online Elite Dangerous.
The aliens first appeared in Elite Dangerous this January. They sporadically pulled players’ ships out of hyperspace to scan them. Or they were seen doing mysterious things with ruins on planets. However, there has not yet been a confrontation. But that will change soon. On September 26, a new update will be released that deals with the Thargoids.
The Thargoids come with 2.4 to Elite: Dangerous!
The developers explain that with the start of the update, players will face the most mysterious and deadly encounters that have ever existed in the game. Update 2.4 “The Return” is primarily about interactive stories surrounding the Thargoids.
What else the update will bring remains unknown, but they have released a trailer that already makes you eager to encounter the Thargoids in space.
Who fired the first shot?
This trailer also features ships that apparently have the capability to incapacitate a Thargoid ship. This promises interesting battles.
Moreover, a hint is dropped that the war breaks out because humans fire the first shot. Are the Thargoids perhaps not so evil and just want to defend themselves? What are they even looking for in human territory? All this could be clarified with the upcoming update 2.4 “The Return” in Elite Dangerous.
