The German development studio Sandbox Interactive has finally announced the release date of the MMORPG Albion Online. This summer, fans should make no plans.
Server Wipe and Release Date for Albion Online
The release of Albion is scheduled for July 17. Then, the story of the MMORPG officially begins.
Before that, there will be a server wipe on March 10. Everyone who is already participating in the beta will have to start over.
All premium items and spent money will be credited back to the account. After the wipe, the developers will launch the last major update “Gallahad”. With it, new cities will make their way into the MMO.
A Wipe and a Major Update
The Swamp City, Forest City, Highland City, Mountain City, Steppe City, and Royal Central City not only represent the central settlements of the individual regions and biomes, but they are also key hubs for players and the center of economic life. Because, in Albion Online, the player-driven economy is in the foreground. The MMORPG is a massive sandbox where you play a significant role in shaping the world. You can, for example, become a master crafter known throughout the land for creating your swords.
Or you might be one of the bravest miners who dares to venture into particularly dangerous areas where valuable ore can be found. However, in Albion Online, you are never locked into a single role. Based on your equipment, you determine what you want to be. If you take a pickaxe, you are a miner; if you switch to a sword, you become a fighter, and if you take up a staff, you can cast magic. Of course, you must also master each role well, so it’s important to consider any change carefully. Perhaps you want to focus on sword fighting and become a well-known warrior.
PvP in Many Forms
PvP is also important in Albion Online. In the Outlands, guild wars and territorial battles occur. Here, you can be attacked anytime and anywhere. Therefore, you should explore the royal island before visiting this area. The further you venture inland, the more dangerous it becomes. In the capital, wars and siege battles occur regularly.
