The developers of the MMORPG Albion Online have announced how their sandbox game will evolve over the course of this year.
The 2016 roadmap provides a good overview of what fans of Albion Online can expect in the coming months. In terms of world design, the size of the game world is set to increase significantly. There will also be new biomes such as swamps and snow landscapes. The cities and zones will be revamped, and there will be even more diverse dungeons.
The undead find their way into the game
In January, the update Brutus will be introduced. This brings the undead, who lurk in gruesome dungeons alongside skeletons, ghouls, and bosses! The update will also include an overhaul of the interface and the introduction of an “Repair All” button. Later, a crime system inspired by Ultima Online will be added. New items and abilities, as well as revisions of existing systems, will also be part of the planned updates, including buildings that can be taken and destroyed during PvP battles.
Scouting will make its way into the game, along with many changes and innovations to the PvE system. Players will even be able to construct large structures in the open world. Changes to the farming and fishing systems, as well as a revision of the fast travel system, are also planned. For instance, it will no longer be possible to escape from unsafe zones via fast travel.

The developers of the MMORPG Albion Online state that they cannot promise to integrate all planned features by the release of the game. However, things that do not make it into the game by release will be added later.
