In the Free2Play MMO Aion , a video addressed the questions of the fans. The focus was mainly on server mergers and the new patch.
More and more developers are figuring out how to communicate with fans through videos and streams. It feels more personal. The Product Director of Aion has extensively covered the server mergers in the third “Ask Aion”, explaining the pros and cons. Here are the initially relevant information for the players:
- Players with “duplicate names” will lose the “younger” name and can choose a new one; the same will happen to the legions.
- In the ranking, some players will drop on the newly doubled server, but they are expected to keep the gear that corresponds to their rank. However, this is not yet finalized.
- Regarding housing, it is quite simple: “You will lose your houses. We cannot do anything about that.” They are working on replacing the contents of the houses for the players. This is also not certain yet.
The Patch 4.75 in Aion
