Lost Ark: Patch Notes for the update from August 28, 2024
Akkan Updates
Portal 1
Normal & Solo Mode
- The damage inflicted on players during the “Safe Zone” mechanic when Maurug throws his spear has been reduced.
- The amount of TP that Maurug regains for each failed shield destruction after the TP bar has been reduced.
- The effect of the weakening spells “Corrosion” and “Plague Wound” used by Maurug has been reduced.
- The damage Maurug inflicts on players after captivity has been reduced.
Normal Mode
- The mechanic of the “Safe Zone” when Maurug throws one or two spears has been changed so that now only two spears are always thrown.
- The required stumble damage for the stumble mechanic has been reduced when players need to purify the weakening spell “Weakened Pest Assimilation.”

Portal 2
Normal & Hard Mode
- The amount of “Plague” received when hit by Akkan has been reduced.
- The damage dealt by the mechanic “The Shadows Hide” has been changed. Players now receive additional damage each time they fail to follow the shadow correctly.
- During the lantern transfer, the weakening “Fear” granted by the monster “Decaying Kin” has been shortened.
- The effect of “Paralysis” has been removed from some patterns of the zero TP mechanic.
Normal Mode
- The mechanic causing damage when Akkan dissolves to throw his scythe at a random player has been changed. A player now receives critical damage if they are hit twice by the same pattern.
- The counterattack time of Akkan’s spirit doppelganger in the zero TP mechanic has been increased.
Portal 3
Normal & Solo Mode
- The damage from black lasers fired by statues in the rotating statue mechanic has been greatly reduced.
- The available time for counterattacks has been slightly increased.
Normal Mode
- Reduced amount of increased plague meter in the fight against Akkan.
- Reduced damage dealt by guillotine blades in the 4-way stumble mechanic.
- The weakening “Slow” has been reduced if you’re connected to the purple line in the “Soul Absorption” mechanic, and some patterns now cause “Paralysis” instead of “Pushed”.
- The respawn time for plague spores on the map has been significantly increased.
- In the “Curse” mechanic, which can summon one of the three colors, the black curse no longer appears.
- The damage from Akkan’s scythe has been changed so that it now gradually increases based on the hit timings in the “Peekaboo” pattern when Akkan disappears to swing the scythe at an incapacitated player.
- The maximum TP of zombie players has been lowered.
Echidna Updates
Portal 1
Normal & Hard Mode
- The damage amount of aerial attacks from dragon flames has been reduced, and players no longer fall when hit.
- The demon legion now only invades twice during the fight against Narkiel (previously 3 times).
- After Agris appears, we have increased the detection distance of the incense vessel in the sequence where you need to find the incense vessel.
Hard Mode
- In the final fight with Narkiel, manipulating the incense vessel now creates a red aura around the player, making it somewhat easier to recognize the condition of not being able to manipulate the incense vessel.
Portal 2
Normal & Hard Mode
- The TP of Echidna has been reduced.
- The damage to seduced players has been reduced.
- Changed effect of the weakening “Whisper of Seduction” and “Dominance of Seduction”.
- The duration of the weakening “Whisper of Seduction” has been changed from 60 seconds to 30 seconds.
- Players are no longer hit by the base attacks of friendly NPCs created by the abilities of allied forces during the weakening “Whisper of Seduction”.
- We have reduced the number of attacks needed to free a player from the weakening “Petrification” by 50%.
- The weakening “Petrification” has been updated so that players do not die if their release fails.
- If players fail to meet the pattern of hitting the energy ball drawn from the mirror towards Echidna, this will no longer immediately end the raid but will only end the raid if it happens twice.
- The cycle in which Echidna creates fly traps has been extended.
- The damage from patterns where players should or shouldn’t look at the boss during the fight with the huge Echidna has been reduced.
- Players no longer die if they fail a confrontation during Echidna’s fight in the underground space but instead now take massive damage.
- When Echidna’s indicator fills up during the fight in the underground space and the snakes try to reach Echidna, the number of attacks to kill a snake has been reduced by 20%. Furthermore, no red snakes appear anymore.
Hard Mode
- In the pattern where players need to connect the energy ball shot from the mirror during Echidna’s fight, no small flowers will be generated when two characters stand on the same field.
- If Echidna’s TP reaches zero in the underground battle, the capture pattern has been changed so that the sign of the snake can be seen by other players and not just the captured player when the capture pattern is used.
- In the underground fight, the “Silence” weakening is now quickly removed in the “Jump-Rope” pattern (where players need to dodge the slowly expanding red wavelengths).

Thaemine Updates
Portal 1
- When “Killineza the Dark Worshipper” inflicts a status effect and grabs the player, this status effect attack no longer affects players with immunity to that effect.
Hard Mode
- Now Killineza the Dark Worshipper can now die at the same time as in the “Normal” difficulty (before the big eye pattern).
Portal 2
Hard Mode
- “Valinak, Herald of the End” no longer restores TP after certain patterns.
Portal 3
- The difficulty of the clash mini-game has been reduced. This update was included in an earlier version, but is part of the overall update for Thaemine’s difficulty.
- The number of safe zones remaining in the combat area at the time of the attack has been increased when “Thaemine the Lightbringer” has a pattern in which he gradually removes the safe zones in the combat area and unleashes a powerful attack.
- The attack range of the attack patterns of “Thaemine the Lightbringer” has been adjusted so that he can move forward/backward quickly when throwing his sword, so that players behind Thaemine do not take damage.

General and Bug Fixes

- A problem was fixed where equipping the skin “Pants of Loose Important Fit” altered the appearance of certain items and skins for the female martial artist class.
- A problem was fixed where sometimes the texture for the whirlpool on Indigo Island was missing.
- Two minor issues with the market interface were fixed.
