After just over two days, the current final boss of World of Warcraft has already been nerfed. Azshara is now significantly easier.
Since last Wednesday, the latest raid “Eternal Palace” has been available in World of Warcraft. Many guilds are making their way through the raid in heroic and normal mode. The greatest barrier is the final boss Azshara, who turned out to be somewhat stronger than expected. The developers have already reacted and nerfed numerous abilities of Azshara. We reveal what has changed.
Azshara has been nerfed on all difficulties: The final boss of the Eternal Palace has undergone a lot of adjustments. All changes to Azshara are direct nerfs designed to make the fight easier.
- Aethanel and Cyranus have 10% fewer health points in LFR, normal, and heroic difficulty.
- Azshara’s Unyielding, Azshara’s Devoted, Overzealous Colossus, and all Sirens have 10% fewer health points on all difficulty levels.
- Queen Azshara now only drains 30% energy from the Ancient Protector during Phase 1 (previously 50% energy).
- The Short Circuit triggered by the Controlled Outbreak of the Titan Console now drains less energy from an Ancient Protector, namely:
- 30% on heroic difficulty (previously 40%).
- 40% on mythic difficulty (previously 50%).
- The casting time of Arcane Detonation has been raised to 6 seconds in LFR and 5 seconds in normal mode. Heroic and Mythic remain at 4 seconds.
- The Controlled Outbreak of the Titan Console has a higher chance of granting players the “Essence of Azeroth” buff in Phase 4 of the fight.
Why has it already been nerfed? Queen Azshara has proven to be too difficult. Many groups that were supposed to succeed in the boss fight failed against her. Therefore, some mechanics have been simplified, and other areas have been given a bit more room for error. The fight is still not really “easy”.

What else did the hotfix bring? Apart from adjustments to the raid, there were also other minor changes intended to make life easier for players in Azeroth. Some of the most important changes include:
- Completing the Heroic Warfront and defeating the enemy commander now grants the corresponding quest progress to all participants.
- Companions in Nazjatar who are in stealth should no longer generate threat to their surroundings.
- Sir Finley Mrrgglton no longer disappears as easily when accompanying players on quests in Mechagon.
