A closed beta of Absolver starts later this month. PC players can register now.
Absolver will be released on August 29, 2017, on PS4 and PC. This was announced by developer Slocap and publisher Devolver Digital a few weeks ago. However, there will be a closed beta on PC before the release, for which you can register now.
- The closed beta starts on June 19. An end date is not specified.
- It will only be available on PC. The reason why PS4 is excluded is unknown.
- Registration is open now. You have until June 16 to sign up. You need to provide your name and an email address, and then confirm your registration via email.

What is Absolver anyway?
Absolver was the surprise hit at E3 2016. We will likely see more of Absolver at this year’s E3.
It is an online melee combat game where combat becomes an art: In Absolver, you don’t just wildly hit each other, but use “action martial arts”. The fights are complex and tactical, and each player can create their own unique fighting style. Recently, we extensively covered the combat system in Absolver.
You play as a masked fighter in an open world where you encounter other players and NPCs. Your goal is to become an Absolver – a member of an elite unit. However, you must prove yourself worthy first.
On your journey, you will learn new combat techniques to personalize your play style. The fights are dynamic and in real-time, with both PvP and PvE features.
An overview of Absolver, where we present the game in detail, can be found at the provided link.
