The Twitch streamer Hugo “LetsHugo” Goedert made a tour to gamescom 2025 and was able to do a favor for a family by taking a photo with a young fan.
LetsHugo is riding to gamescom on a longboard: The Twitch streamer LetsHugo has planned something very special for this year’s gamescom: He wants to ride to Cologne on a longboard – together with his Twitch audience. However, he is not taking the long way from his home in Madeira to Cologne, but from Trier.
However, the ride also has its downsides: Since LetsHugo’s location is streamed live, viewers constantly come up to him. At one point, the Twitch streamer even had to flee into a restaurant because he couldn’t be left alone.
However, a meeting with a young fan and a shared photo had very good consequences, not just for the fan, but also for the mother.
“You saved me 100 euros”
How can LetsHugo save the family 100 euros? In front of the Cologne Cathedral, LetsHugo takes time to take selfies with some of his fans. A boy is there with his mother. He poses with the Twitch streamer, then the mother joins. She thanks him and says: “You saved me 100 euros for the gamescom” (Source: YouTube).
This refers to the fact that the mother no longer has to spend money on gamescom tickets. The prices for the tickets vary depending on the day and attendees. Roughly estimating the prices, it is quite likely that the mother, along with her son – who is obviously still a student and would thus be eligible for a discounted ticket – and possibly another companion would amount to around 100 euros in ticket costs.
Provided that the young fan only wanted to attend gamescom because of the Twitch streamer LetsHugo.
