A Brit explained in a podcast on YouTube how he was able to eat for free at McDonald’s for a year. To do this, he had fake negative reviews written, with which he managed to obtain vouchers. After a year, he was finally caught.
One can get support from the AI chatbot ChatGPT in many life situations. A British user has now come up with a very clever idea and managed to eat for free at a fast-food chain for a good year. He explained how he did this on YouTube.
Fake reviews give free vouchers
How did the user proceed? Whenever he paid for a meal at McDonald’s, he received a receipt. This receipt contained a code with which McDonald’s requested participation in a satisfaction survey. This is reported by the colleagues from 3Djuegos.
And that is exactly what the eater took advantage of: He asked ChatGPT to write a text about a terrible experience ordering a hamburger in less than 12,000 characters. After he added such a negative review, McDonald’s contacted him and offered him compensation vouchers.
And he used this trick repeatedly, which worked so well for a while that he was able to eat at the fast-food chain for almost a year thanks to ChatGPT without spending a single British penny.
But eventually he was caught by McDonald’s, and the free time came to an anticipated end. It is not known whether he was punished for the fake reviews and the exploitation of the system.
Chatbots like ChatGPT remain controversial
AI is now being used more and more. But the use of artificial assistance is not always uncontroversial. Because there are many areas of activity for such projects and software.
On one side, chatbots or programs are seen as a great help in everyday life, solving annoying tasks or problems, or even helping with health issues. There are now also jobs that require experience with AI and pay accordingly well. Others sponsor their employees ChatGPT, so that many hours of time can be saved.

The action presented here with McDonald’s is not necessarily a positive aspect of ChatGPT, as a system was actively exploited that was meant to serve a completely different purpose.
