The Twitch streamer MckyTV launched an initiative almost a year ago that not only caused a stir in the community but also among fellow Twitch streamers. Recently, Gronkh made indirect comments mocking it again.
Who made the misstep?: The Twitch streamer Michael “MckyTV” Doleys misstepped significantly in April 2024. He announced grandly that he wanted to stop streaming as he felt he had enough money and wanted to spend more time with his family.
As a final “big bang,” he wanted to hold a Subathon. MckyTV figured that he would receive so many subs that he would stay live for a few months, if not half a year.

The initiative was not well received by the community, and they accused him of emotional blackmail. After all, his fans wouldn’t want their favorite streamer to stop and would be pressured to spend more money.
Twitch streamer Gronkh also expressed his displeasure about MckyTV’s attempted initiative. He continued his criticism in an indirect manner.

“This will make me popular”
How does Gronkh poke fun? In a Twitch stream, Gronkh played “Streamer Life Simulator 2,” which he ironically dubbed as the “Unemployment Simulator.” He not only pokes fun at himself but also at all his fellow Twitch streamers. He then makes his jabs a bit more specific.
In one scene, Gronkh stands in front of the window in the game and wonders how he should continue his simulated life as a streamer. He says:
I have an idea. I will say that I’ve made enough money and will stop streaming and start one last Subathon.
With this, he describes exactly what MckyTV did and adds in an ironic tone: “This will make me popular.”
But that’s not all. Gronkh then adds: “And if that doesn’t work, I’ll do a Nestlé placement”
Gronkh lands in unofficial “Best of Twitch” with his jabs
What is the placement about? Shortly before, MckyTV had a placement for Nescafé, a brand from Nestlé. This was also poorly received by the community, and the Twitch streamer faced heavy criticism once again.
The Swiss corporation has been facing criticism for several years and is so unpopular in the streaming community that content creators have ended their partnerships with companies because Nestlé got involved.
That Mcky, who according to his own statements does not need the money, is advertising for the company leaves viewers with a bad taste – especially since the streamer was supposedly ready to retire long ago.
All the more, viewers are now amused by Gronkh’s jab, which even made it into the unofficial “Best of Twitch” by YouTuber Satter Hugo. Here you can watch the full video:
MckyTV’s actions aren’t the only faux pas that outraged the German Twitch community. Recently, Twitch streamer Trymacs made greedy-sounding comments, for which he apologized: Twitch streamer retracts statements that sounded greedy, but the apology sounds hollow.
